Methodology

Nimble Productions always has it's eye on the final deliverable. To make the most of your project budget, you have to have a very clear picture of what you ultimately want to deliver.

To accomplish this, even before the editorial phase, we will assess your acquisition method and compare it against your final deliverable. This allows us to get a clear picture of what the offline portion of your project is going to look like.

Once we know what the final deliverable is going to be, we can create an offline workflow that will maintain the image quality of your source material and keep a 1:1 timecode relationship between the source material and the offline footage. Ultimately, this will save a great deal of time when conforming your project for the online edit, color grading and visual effects stages.

At this point, we will create a directory structure for managing your project assets on the desktop as well as in the project itself, assuring that everything is readily available to your offline editor and easily tracked. We will also establish a version control protocol and project file structure that will ensure the editor can work creatively and efficiently. The goal is to create a project file structure that anyone would be able to study and dive into with a minimal amount of effort.

Final, we will create a delivery strategy. Depending on where and how you will be finishing the project, we will define the steps necessary to create the final offline deliverable to the post production house. Only media and files necessary to the post production phase will be generated and delivered.
